The Yonex VCORE 100 Plus tennis racquet in Scarlet is the extended-length version of the VCORE 100. It has a 100 sq in head for added reach and spin from the baseline.
It is part of the 7th generation VCORE series, launched by Yonex in January 2023. The frame combines 2G-Namd™ Flex Force graphite, SIF grommets and aerodynamic features to help generate spin. Made in Japan.
Key Details and Benefits
- 100 sq in head: forgiving face on the Yonex VCORE 100 Plus tennis racquet
- Plus (extended length): added reach for serves and groundstrokes
- ISOMETRIC™ head shape: square frame geometry; 7% larger sweet spot than a conventional round frame (Yonex testing)
- 2G-Namd™ Flex Force graphite: runs from the upper throat to the lower frame; quick flex and snapback for spin
- Frame Structure and Shaft Design: thinner beam, new throat design and wider frame top; higher launch angle
- SIF Grommets: silicone oil infused grommets; less string friction and faster string snapback
- Aero Trench and Aero Fin: aerodynamic features that reduce air resistance during the swing
- Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM): mesh wrapped around the graphite in the grip; filters unwanted vibration
Who Should Choose This Racquet?
This racquet suits players who want extra reach and leverage on serves and groundstrokes. It fits baseline players who build points with topspin. Players already using a standard VCORE 100 can move to the Plus for more reach. Check grip size before purchase: G2 and G3 are available.
Specialisation
Yonex introduced SIF grommets with the 7th generation VCORE, the first use of silicone oil infused grommets in tennis racquets according to Yonex. 2G-Namd™ Flex Force graphite runs from the upper throat to the lower frame for quick snapback. The frame is made in Japan. The Plus format adds length to the 100 sq in VCORE frame.

Comparison Advantage
Against the previous VCORE generation, Yonex machine testing of the 7th generation frame recorded a 3.6% improvement in net clearance and a 1.8% increase in spin. The wider frame top adds 1.9% more ball contact area, and the frame-top beam is 0.5 mm thinner. Compared with the standard VCORE 100, the Plus adds length for more reach.
